General Terms of Agreement

  • All Users need to select the smart water meter size 15mm (1/2”) or 20mm (3/4”)  as per their pipeline.
  • The technical specification of the smart meters to help users choose the correct size is given below:-

  • All Users will need to subscribe to any one of our rental plans by paying a one time security deposit Fee as per the plan which will be fully refundable upon termination of service & select installation by urban clap which is our installation partner. (subject to T&C)
  • All Users will need to subscribe for a minimum period of 3 months for any of our rental plans by paying an upfront rental cost for 3 months, however the user can opt to make payment monthly / quarterly / semi-annually / annually / biennially / triennially for the selected rental plan after the expiry of the freezing period i-e 3 months from the date of subscription.
  • All users need to select the city of installation at the time of placing an order in the checkout page. After completing the order & payment process of the security deposit & rental fee, the smart water meter along with all necessary fittings will be shipped to the delivery address provided in checkout by our express carrier partners.
  • After receiving the delivery of smart water meter with fittings from our carrier partners, all users will need to book the installation slot by our installation partner urban clap for standard installation service as per their day and time of convenience.
  • All the services as per the selected plan will start from the day our carrier partner delivers the shipment
  • Our system of checking the health status of the smart meters is completely automated. The system self checks the health of the meter daily and reports if any of the meters installed at any user premises is found malfunctioning or running in error. Our service team will contact the user if anything found wrong with the working of our smart meters and schedule a necessary appointment of our service engineer to rectify the same.
  • Our team will completely take care of the smooth running of our meters and our services until the user is under active subsciprtion

1. RENTAL PLANS          

The following is our rental plans that we offer currently with all the services specified in each respective plans. Please select the plan suitable as per your requirement.

                Apart from Monthly payments, we also offer early payments discounts against all our plans in Quarterly, Semi-Annually, Annually, Biennially, Triennially.  The discounted rate cards as below :-

               *All prices are exclusive of taxes, GST 18% will be charged extra, we will provide B2B invoice if GSTIN is provided.

  • All our rental plans are subject to change in future with 3 months of prior notification to all our users.
  • Any User will need to subscribe for a minimum period of 3 months for any of our rental plans, however the user can opt to make payment monthly / quarterly / semi-annually / annually / biennially / triennially for the selected rental plan after the expiry of the freezing period i-e 3 months from the date of subscription.
  • All Users can upgrade or downgrade the plan at any point of time after the expiry of the freezing period from the first subscription. The users will be invoiced as per the upgraded or downgraded plan from the subsequent month.
  •     In the case if any user having made advance payment for any plan and need to upgrade or downgrade the plan will be billed additionally with a difference of amount in case of upgradation or the difference of amount will be adjusted or refunded in case of downgrade of plans
  • After the expiry of the minimum subscription period (freezing period ) any user can choose to withdraw our services and write to us a mailing request on sales@asmaindustrial.com for withdrawal of our services and refund of security deposit amount. Based upon the same request we will raise a ticket and e-mail in reply the confirmation to remove our smart meter with all necessary fittings and pack in one box and keep the package ready and write us the confirmation to arrange a reverse pickup of the same package by any of our logistics partners, upon successful delivery of the reverse shipment the refund of the security deposit amount will be processed & refunded within 7-10 working days to the particular user account thereafter.
  • Once any user writes us to terminate the service, the rental plan for the same user will continue until the expiry of the users paid subscription date, after the same user will be given a grace period of 30 days to remove our smart water with all necessary fittings and pack in one box and keep the package ready and write us the confirmation to arrange a reverse pickup of the same package by any of our logistics partners, upon successful delivery of the reverse shipment the refund of the security deposit amount will be processed & refunded within 7-10 working days to the particular user account thereafter.
  • All our services will be kept On-HOLD automatically and all the account access in user level as well as admin level will be blocked upon any non-payment of our service rental plans beyond the due date.
  • Each user will be given 30 days of grace period beyond the due date to re-activate the services, after which the user will be auto notified to remove our smart meter and send us back through our reverse pickup carrier partners, upon the successful delivery of the reverse shipment the refund of security deposit will be processed against such users.
  • If any user fails to return our smart meter back to us even after the expiry of the 30 days grace period from the due date, such user will be charged the rental subscription as per their plan until the user returns back the smart meter to us.
  • ASMA INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION will have the full property rights and ownership of the smart meters and can claim the same if any user fails to return the smart meters upon non-payment of the subscription beyond due date and the expiry of the 30 days grace period given after the due date thereafter  
  • All disputes will be subject to Kolkata jurisdiction.

2. SECURITY DEPOSIT

  • All users need to pay security deposit amount as per the selected plan at the time of subscription.
  • The security deposit amount is kept as a security for lending a meter on rental basis to all the users. ASMA INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION will have the full property rights and ownership of the smart meters if any subscription remains unpaid beyond the due date.
  • The Security deposit amount is charged on refundable basis and will be fully refunded upon the termination of service at any point of time after the minimum subscription period or freezing period.
  • In the event if any user wants to withdraw our services at any time after the expiry of the minimum subscription period, the security deposit amount will be refunded to such users, and write to us a mailing request on sales@asmaindustrial.com for withdrawal of our services and refund of security deposit amount. Based upon the same request we will raise a ticket and e-mail in reply the confirmation to remove our smart meter with all necessary fittings and pack in one box and keep the package ready and write us the confirmation to arrange a reverse pickup of the same package by any of our logistics partners, upon successful delivery of the reverse shipment the refund of the security deposit amount will be processed & refunded within 7-10 working days to the particular user account thereafter.
  • All users will be liable for any physical damage or tampering or for any loss made to our smart meters apart from the general weatheric wear & tear conditions. ASMA INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION will have the full rights to issue refund of the security deposit by subtracting the amount in part or full to cover the loss made to our smart meters for any physical damage or tampering or loss cases

3. INSTALLATION

  • We are tied up with Urban Clap (Urban Company) for installation of all our smart water meters.
  • We will deliver you the smart water meter with all fittings once the order has been placed successfully with payment.
  • After getting the delivery of the smart water meters with fittings you need to book your installation slot from your urban clap account for getting the smart water meters installed at your premises by authorised urban clap professionals.
  • The urban clap will charge you around Rs. 490/- (inclusive of taxes) depending upon your city for 1 x smart water meter for standard installation services.
  • Please Note : We will deliver you the smart water meter along with all fittings required for standard installation on any Pipe.
  • We will provide the smart water Meters with 2 x Nipples, Nut & Washer + 2 x FTA of 1/2 Inch for 15mm Meter or 2 x FTA of 3/4 Inch for 20mm Meter
  • You will not require any other extra fittings for standard installation.

  • What’s included in the Installation Service ?
    Water Meter installation for pipes under 4″diameter
    Rate includes labour charge for installing 1 smart water meter

What’s excluded in the Installation Service ?
Tiling, Cementing and other such masonary works

When do I need this Service ?
You can avail this service after buying our smart water meter to measure your water consumption

What charges does this service include and exclude ?
This service includes the installation and inspection charges. it excludes the cost of the fittings, spare parts and any additional helper tools required

Are fittings included in the cost ?
NO, the cost of fittings and other required spare parts is not included in this service. You can buy the fittings before
availing the service to speed up the process.

Is masonary work included ?
Any kind of masonary work like tiling and cementing during installation of fixtures and fittings is not included in this
service

What happens if there is an issue with installation after the service ?
This service comes with free 30 day UC Warranty that covers any damage or malfunction of fittings/spare parts
procured by UC for up to Rs 10,000. Additionally, if you are not satisfied with the service, you get a free service
re-visit within 30 days. No questions asked.

Does this service include installation of the main supply pipe ?
NO. This service charge is only for installing smart water meter in secondary pipes under 4″ diameter

How can i help the professional to speed up the installation ?
You can keep the smart water meter ready along with fittings and can also shut off the water supply of the
concerned pipe for the professionals to work.
